I absolutely adore this mini sewing machine; it brings back memories of a mini-Janome that used to be available years ago. Unfortunately, it could be a fantastic machine if it actually worked properly. I spent around 20 minutes trying to thread it, and when I finally pressed the pedal, it emitted an awful noiseâmore like a coffee grinder than a sewing machine. I’m quite disappointed.

After watching countless videos, my husband, my daughter, and I attempted to replace the bobbin, but we couldnât get it to work. My husband even disassembled the machine and discovered a broken piece inside, which he managed to repair. Unfortunately, now the foot pedal isnât functioning. This has been really disappointing, especially given the excellent reviews. I researched many options and chose this machine for its positive feedback as a beginner’s model, but Iâm regretting not investing in a more reliable one.

I purchased this sewing machine as a Christmas gift for my eight-year-old. First off, threading the bobbin is quite a challenge; you have to get creative because the needle simply won’t pick it up. Additionally, the stitching quality isn’t great, but I wasn’t too concerned since it was meant for learning. However, less than two months after Christmas, it has completely stopped stitching fabric. I’ve watched all the tutorial videos on Amazon and YouTube, but nothing has worked. Iâm an experienced seamstress, and this machine was always used under supervision, so it hasn’t been mistreated. To potential buyers: I advise against purchasing this machine. Save your moneyâitâs not worth the frustration and disappointment my child has experienced.

As an adult woman who hasn’t formally learned to sew, I still enjoy it occasionally. I usually just do straight stitches to hem items or take in shirts. In the past, I had a more complex machine that was good but often confusing. This machine, however, is very straightforward, comes with excellent instructions, and is lightweight, making it easy to store and transport.
I used it to hem drapes, and with its fixed slow to medium speed, I achieved the straightest hem ever! Later, I attempted to sew some hook and loop tape, but the machine kept jamming. Perhaps a different needle could have resolved that issue. Ultimately, I gave up and opted for adhesive hook and loop tape instead.
I highly recommend this machine for anyone who needs to do occasional straight stitching or for beginners looking for a simple, user-friendly sewing machine.
